What It Is

About Hyperbarics

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is a medical treatment in which you breathe pure oxygen inside a pressurized chamber. The added pressure allows your blood to carry far more oxygen than normal breathing — and oxygen is the raw material your body uses to repair tissue, fight infection, and grow new blood vessels.

Physicians may recommend HBOT for specific conditions, including certain slow-healing wounds, tissue injury following radiation treatment, and other diagnoses where oxygen-starved tissue needs support. Every course of treatment here begins with a physician evaluation, so the therapy is prescribed — never sold.

Sessions are calm and unhurried: you rest in a clear chamber, watch a show or simply close your eyes, while a trained team member stays in contact with you throughout.

A note on referrals: HBOT is a prescribed medical therapy. Some conditions and insurers require a physician referral — call us and our team will guide you through exactly what’s needed.

Who it may be for

  • People with certain non-healing or slow-healing wounds
  • Patients recovering from radiation tissue injury
  • People whose physician has recommended HBOT for a specific diagnosis
  • Patients looking for coordinated wound and recovery care

What to Expect

Your visit, step by step

1

Physician evaluation

Your doctor reviews your history and diagnosis to confirm HBOT is appropriate and designs your treatment plan.

2

Your session

You relax in the chamber for roughly 90 minutes to two hours while the pressure rises gently — most people read, watch, or nap.

3

A course of care

Many plans involve a series of sessions over several weeks, coordinated with the rest of your care under this roof.
