Whole Body Cryotherapy
Three minutes of extraordinary cold. Whole-body cryotherapy at North Shore Medical — a brief, invigorating ritual for recovery, energy, and renewal.
What It Is
About Whole Body Cryotherapy
Whole-body cryotherapy involves standing in a specialized chamber while the air around you drops to extremely cold temperatures for a short session — typically two to three minutes. The cold prompts your body’s natural response: blood flow shifts, inflammation pathways engage, and many people leave feeling alert, refreshed, and loose.
Athletes use cryotherapy as part of recovery routines; busy people use it the way others use a cold plunge — a reset for sore muscles, heavy legs, and foggy afternoons. It isn’t a medical treatment for disease, and we’ll never sell it as one. It’s a powerful wellness practice, offered here inside a medical environment where your safety is screened first.
Before your first session, our team reviews a short health screening with you — some conditions, like pregnancy or certain heart conditions, mean cryotherapy isn’t appropriate.
