Frequently Asked Questions
Opening dates, booking, referrals, and what to expect — the questions we hear most, answered plainly.
When does North Shore Medical open?
We are now opening. Booking is live on this site — pick a service, choose an open time, and your visit is held right away.
Where are you located?
We’re on Long Island’s North Shore, in New York. Our full street address will be announced as we open; patients receive it — along with directions and parking details — before their first visit.
How do I book an appointment?
Book right here on the site: pick a service, choose an open room and time, and leave your details — your time is held the moment you confirm, and our team confirms the details before your visit. Every service page shows that service’s own live availability. For urgent symptoms, don’t wait on a booking — contact your physician or emergency services.
Do I need a referral?
It depends on the service. Some services — such as hyperbaric oxygen therapy and most diagnostic imaging — are prescribed treatments that typically require a physician’s order or referral. Others, like the medical spa and cryotherapy, do not. Tell us what you’re interested in when you book or call, and we’ll explain exactly what’s needed before your visit.
Do you accept insurance?
Coverage varies by service and plan, and details are being finalized as we open. When our team contacts you to schedule, they’ll confirm how your visit is covered and what, if anything, you would pay — before you commit to an appointment.
What services are under the roof?
Seven service lines: Hyperbarics (with six chambers on site), Medspa, Imaging, a Surgical Center, a Cardiovascular Specialist, a Vascular Surgeon, and Whole Body Cryotherapy.
I’m a physician. How do I ask about a specialist suite?
We’d like to hear from you. Call us and mention physician suites and your specialty — our team will share suite details and availability.
Is this an emergency facility?
No. North Shore Medical provides planned, scheduled care — appointments, procedures, imaging, and therapies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
Still curious?
Call us — or book a visit and put your question in the notes, and our team will reply before your visit.
